Northwestern Rwanda Tour Itinerary

Day 1

Kigali – Volcanoes
Meet in the morning on arrival at the airport. Visit the Genocide Mausoleum. Lunch in town. Follow the road as it climbs to the base of the majestic volcanoes, with spectacular views across the five peaks. Continue toward Volcanoes NP.
Dinner and overnight at Sabyinyo Silverback Lodge
Approx Distance: 150km, 3 hrs. mostly tar
Day 2

Day of Gorilla Trekking
As the first light of dawn breaks through the curtain of mist clinging to the summits of Karisimbi, Bisoke, Sabyniyo, Mgahinga and Muhabura, we make our way into the Parc National des Volcans. Tracking the gorillas through the unique vegetation can take several hours of challenging walking in wet and muddy conditions. To see a gorilla, the trek will have been worth the hardship. Depart after lunch at your hotel driving back to Kigali
Dinner and overnight AT Kigali Serena Hotel.
Approx Distance: 180km, 4 hrs. mostly tar
Day 3

Kigali – Departure
After breakfast at the hotel, transfer to the airport for the flight out of Rwanda. End of services.
Approx Distance: 20km, 1/3 hrs. tar
