Nairobi and Amboseli National Park Tour Overview

Departing from Nairobi early in the morning, this safari takes you to Amboseli National Park whose entire landscape is dominated by Africa's highest mountain, Mt Kilimanjaro, where you stay for 2 Days/2 Nights, then proceed via Nairobi to the Great Rift Valley.
Please note: This Safari will depart any day of the week with a minimum of 2 persons booking.
Transportation can either be by a safari minibus or by 4x4 Land Cruiser (Jeep), depending on your choice or budget too.
The Safari can be customized further if you like. Kindly make an enquiry email to let us know if you would want some changes included in the itinerary.

Nairobi and Amboseli National Park Tour Itinerary

Day 1

Nairobi/Amboseli

Depart Nairobi in the morning and drive to Amboseli National Park arriving Amboseli Serena Lodge well in time for lunch. Afternoon game drive in the park, a park famous for its big game and great scenic beauty whose entire landscape is dominated by Mt Kilimanjaro. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Approx transit time: 5 hrs

Day 2

Amboseli

Early morning pre-breakfast game drive at 6.30am, when you have the best chance to see the majestic Mt. Kilimanjaro. Return to the lodge for late breakfast. The rest of the morning is at leisure. Afternoon game drive. All meals and overnight at Amboseli Serena Lodge.

Day 3

Amboseli/Nairobi/Lake Nakuru

Depart Amboseli in the morning and drive via Nairobi to the floor of the Rift Valley stopping for lunch at a city hotel, then proceeding to the Lake Nakuru National Park arriving for your afternoon game drive.
Approx transit time: 7 hrs
Dinner and overnight at Sarova Lion Hill Lodge.

Day 4

Lake Nakuru

Spend the day in Nakuru, with a morning and afternoon game drive. Besides the flamingos that the lake is famous for, there are approx 400 other species of birds visiting the lake. Also, many species of game can be found in the park including the introduced Rothschild's giraffe, black and white rhino, waterbuck, reedbuck, lion, buffalo, leopard, baboon and many species of plains game.
All meals and overnight at Sarova Lion Hill Lodge.

Day 5

Lake Nakuru/Maasai Mara

Depart Lake Nakuru after breakfast and drive further along the floor of the Rift Valley to Maasai Mara Game Reserve arriving Sarova Mara Tented Camp in time for lunch. Depart soon after lunch taking a slow drive to Mara Serena Lodge with game drive en route, introducing you to this vast game filled reserve. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Approx transit time: 6 hrs

Day 6

Maasai Mara

Spend two days in Maasai Mara, Kenya's most popular game sanctuary where you will have the best opportunity of spotting the Big Five (lion, leopard, buffalo, rhino and elephant). Morning and afternoon game drives with the option of visiting a local Maasai village. All meals and overnight at Mara Serena Lodge.

Day 7

Maasai Mara/Nairobi

After breakfast drive back to Nairobi arriving approx 14:00 hrs. Drop off at your hotel or transfer to the airport for your onward flight home. End of services.
